Marine Pulse is my first step into a new realm — a unique fusion of art and electronics. As an artist and electrical engineer, I created this piece to bring emotion, interaction, and innovation into a single device. It’s not just a product; it’s a vision. Harnessing the gentle energy of the sun, Marine Pulse thrives without wires. A discreet high efficiency solar panel powers the experience, symbolizing sustainability and independence — just like the open ocean.

Interactive Touch

Each tap awakens the device, triggering a real-time orchestration of light. The multidirectional tap functionality is achieved by onboard MEMS IMU, which senses single and double taps and their applied direction.

Whether basking in sunlight on a windowpane or resting gently on your desk, Marine Pulse adapts to your space. Its uniquely engineered form can mount directly onto a window, where it drinks in light like ocean plankton, or unfold its integrated stand to sit upright — always poised, always present.

Procedural Generation

Each interaction with Marine Pulse is uniquely yours. Powered by procedural generation, the whale’s movements, pulses, and ambient responses within a scene are not pre-recorded animations—they are born in real time. This makes every moment distinct, evolving, and emotionally resonant. Just like the ocean itself, no two experiences are ever the same.

Ambient Light Sensor

To harmonize with its environment, Marine Pulse features a smartphone-grade light sensor that intelligently adjusts brightness based on the ambient light. Whether bathed in daylight or resting in evening calm, the glow responds gracefully—preserving the mood, enhancing comfort, and ensuring the visuals remain vivid without being harsh. Additionally, the matrix brightness can be override for 1 Hour by single tap on the left and right sides.

Future-Proof with Firmware Updates

With firmware support planned for at least 5 years, the device will continue to evolve, gaining new features, refined interactions, and enhanced visual depth over time. This promise of continuous innovation ensures that every owner remains connected to the pulse of progress. The firmware updates will be available on my website shortly and user can flash the device through the USB-C port.
